The Present is an animated short film that was released in 2014 and quickly went viral. The film was created by German animator Jacob Frey who was inspired by a comic strip by Brazilian artist Fabio Coala. Frey said he was in awe of the storyline of the comic and was inspired to translate it into an animated short film.

Farah started working in the Palestinian film industry as a writer & producer of short fiction films in 2015, exploring Palestine related topics that matter to her. 2019, she directed her first film, The Present, staring, Saleh Bakri. It premiered at Festival du Court Metrage de Clermont-Ferrand and won the Audience Award for Best Film.
